Very dark brown with some ruby-red around the edges, very clear. Thick, light-brown head forms on top with nice lacing on the glass. Aromas of warm vanilla, light oak, earthy spice, and floral honey notes. Medium sweet with balanced bitterness, a touch of warm vanilla on the finish add to a slightly sweet lingering taste. Surprisingly refreshing for being a dark beer, but full bodied and silky smooth on the finish.
